WS ACOUSTICS

WS ACOUSTICS provides services to a wide variety of acoustic projects: Industrial Acoustics, Environmental Acoustics, Compliance with regulations, CTE, vibration control or schools, and focuses especially on the design of Concert Halls, Theaters and large Cultural Centres.

ROOM ACOUSTICS

Preliminary sketch and discussion with Architecture.

All our projects are studied with the most modern calculation and simulation tools on the market as well as tools developed by ourselves constantly improved with the experience gained.

ENVIRONMENTAL

Projects of planning, control, monitoring and verification of environmental noise produced by human activity. We analyze the impact of large infrastructures such as airports, high voltage lines, roads and industrial complexes. We conduct reports to assess the current situation or future impact of a new infrastructure through sound simulation and measurement campaigns.

INDUSTRY

Control for compliance with air pollution regulations by industries or any machinery that generates noise in the outside environment. We address the sound attenuation treatment of industrial complexes by defining the elements necessary to reduce the noise level of engines, machinery, accesses, chimneys, ventilation systems, etc.
We carry out measurement campaigns to assess noise levels to check compliance with regulations and for ISO 9001 quality control.

GREAT INFRASTRUCTURE

We study large infrastructures such as airports, bus stations, train stations, electrical transformation plants, heliports, road axes. Both the external noise aspect and the internal acoustics of the enclosures are studied to achieve the comfort of the user and the optimal intelligibility of the warning and public address systems.

ENTERTAINMENT / RESTAURANTS

WS Acoustics also gives service to private activities such as bars, nightclubs, bars and restaurants. The viability of the business in terms of compliance with noise ordinances is studied and a report is prepared with the design of the necessary treatments both in terms of sound insulation and internal conditioning in order to comply with regulations and give internal acoustic comfort. The studies guarantee the acquisition of the required opening licenses.

Justification of the current building regulations. Compliance with the CTE DB HR and applicable local regulations.

VIBRO ACOUSTICS

Study and analysis of vibrations in machinery and construction. Control of structural transmission of vibrations and noise. Definition of elastic elements in non-homogeneous systems. Appropriate treatments are defined for floating buildings against ground vibrations generated by trains, subway or any machinery. Structural floating and attenuation treatments directly on sources. For complex cases we have the support of great specialists in the control and attenuation of systems of various degrees of freedom.

WS ACOUSTICS was born as a result of the recently closed down company Arau Acustica. Its founders, with almost two decades of dedication to the study and research of the acoustics, have worked alongside Dr. Hgini Arau in the design of several of the best auditoriums around the world. 15 years at the helm of writing such emblematic projects as the reform of the Scala in Milan, or the recently awarded Philharmonic of Szscecin.
Our team has always worked very closely with our clients as well as other consultants and professionals in a wide variety of projects that have helped us understand and deepen the complexity of acoustics. We have always valued the exchange of knowledge between all the actors in a project, in order to enrich each other and be able to offer the maximum result in the final project.

ROOM ACOUSTICS

Defining what Acoustics a room should have is the first task of the acoustic consultant. The future use of the venue and the relationship between its volume and audience determine the acoustic criteria to be achieved. From here, a room must be designed that meets these objectives of acoustic excellence in accordance with the proposed architectural ideas and that respects the technical needs of the building. Shapes, materials, geometries and all the internal aspects of the room are defined and analyzed to obtain the required acoustics. The acoustic design of our rooms should serve to improve the response of the venue. In some cases it will be necessary to be as neutral as possible so as not to intervene in the communicative process, in other cases it will have to enrich the result, becoming one more instrument with which the artistic event will be expressed in the best possible way. Each case analyzes in depth the needs, requirements and objectives, but also what particularities it must have, both Architectural and sociological, to give a special and unique character to each project.
